Olive Mill & Standardizaition

Our estate extends over a single area of 10,000 square meters in the heart of the village. It houses a modern olive mill, a standardization and storage unit for olive oil, and a boutique winery along with a reception area.

After the latest modernization in 2010, the olive mill is housed in a 400 square meter unit with modern olive oil processing machinery. The storage unit is located in an underground area with ideal humidity and temperature conditions, where 11 stainless steel tanks with a total capacity of 1,000 tons are housed.
The standardization unit is housed in a 2,000 square meter building where the equipment is constantly upgraded according to technological advancements and market needs. Our unit features a state-of-the-art automated bottle filling unit with a capacity of 10,000 containers per hour for bottling containers from 250ml up to 2lt. We also maintain a semi-automated tin can filling unit and special filling units for unique bottles and HO.RE.CA containers up to 10 liters.

Anoskeli S.A. holds certfied Food Safety & Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and FSSC22000 for all production units.

Winery

Anoskeli Winery is one of the smallest wineries of Ctete and one of the first members of Wines of Crete. Yet we pride in the production of fine wines that express the terroir of our region.

Our winery, housed in a 300m2 area, is fully equipped with modern pressing machinery, stainless steel tanks and a semi-automated bottling line. Our underground aging cellar with a 35,000 lt capacity, features 30 oak barrels new and old. Our estate-made wines are sourced from our privately owned vineyards, where Greek and international varieties are cultivated. Our wine-making philosophy is premised on the careful selection and handling of grapes, gentle pressing techniques to preserve the integrity of the grape and traditional wine-making technique with a modern twist. 

Anoskeli Winery constantly experiments with new varieties, flavors and winemaking techniques in an effort to accentuate the vast potential offered by the rich Cretan terroir and the microclimate in the wider area of Anoskeli.

Olive Groves & Vineyards

Our family estate features a selection of dedicated team cultivates a diverse selection of olive trees and grape varieties across 150 acres of olive groves, with more than 3.000 trees and 30 acres of vineyards.

Olive Groves

Our olive groves extend across the gently sloping hillsides of Kolymvari, a premier olive oil producing region in Crete. Cultivation is a challenge, as the terrain's morphology makes it difficult to use machinery. The landscape is often terraced to maximize cultivatable land, showcasing the dedication to olive cultivation in this area.

The Koroneiki variety, known as the "queen" of Greek olives, dominates our groves. Prized for its high oil content and exceptional quality, this small, hardy olive yields an oil rich in polyphenols. These beneficial compounds give the oil a distinct peppery and slightly bitter taste, along with excellent antioxidant properties.

We also cultivate the Tsounati variety, an indigenous olive closely tied to the Cretan terroir. This is a more challenging cultivar, yet Tsounati olives can produce milder oils with a fruity flavor profile, ideal for both single-varietal olive oils and blends.

Reception Area

Rooted in family tradition and driven by our vision, we've always sought to share the Cretan filoxenia ("hospitality") and the goodness of our products with the world. To achieve this, we designed a welcoming reception area, creating a hub where visitors can learn about and experience our olive oils and wines firsthand.

Since 2013, we've opened our doors to guests, inviting them to experience unique tasting sessions and guided tours centered around the two cornerstones of the Cretan diet: our award-winning olive oils and estate-made wines. As one of the first estates in Crete to offer combined wine and olive oil tasting experiences, we showcase our unique approach to the promotion of our local cuisine. 
Today, we welcome over 14,000 visitors annually who come to savor our award-winning products and immerse themselves in the world of Cretan flavors. Our beautiful indoor tasting room and scenic terrace, overlooking the charming village of Anoskeli, provide the perfect setting. Here, visitors can enjoy expert-led tasting sessions and guided tours that highlight the rich culinary heritage of our region.

Ιn our reception area you will find a boutique shop featuring our estate-made wines, olive oils, tsikoudia and a selection of local delicacies as well as wine accessories.
